Philippa Kemsley
Research Health Visitor

Philippa is currently working as a research health visitor employed by Whittington Health NHS and supporting recruitment to the Happy Start, Healthy Start study across Islington.   She is a registered nurse and health visitor with local and national experience having worked in a number of London trusts as well as the Department of Health in the immunisation policy team and also one the National Support Teams. As well as clinical and managerial nursing and health visiting roles within the NHS, Philippa has also held posts with the NSPCC and Brook, the national leading provider of sexual health services and advice for young people under 25.  Children’s public health and wellbeing has been at the heart of her work, and her research interests are largely focused in this area.  She holds a postgraduate qualification in research methods from City University.
