pPOD is based between two sites; the Oxford University Department of Psychiatry and the Centre for Mental Health at Imperial College, London.  The team comprises psychologists, psychiatrists and other doctors. It is jointly led by Dr Paul Ramchandani and Dr Susannah Murphy.

Paul Ramchandani

Paul is LEGO® Professor of Play in Education, Development and Learning at Cambridge University, UK. He leads a research team investigating the role of play in children’s early development. He also works as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in the UK National Health Service.

Kirsten Barnicot is an NIHR Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Imperial College London involved in both ACORN and Healthy Start, Happy Start.

Ellen is currently working on the Healthy Start Happy Start study. Alongisde this role she is doing a PhD in Clinical Medicine, looking at coparenting behaviour as a risk factor in the development of child psychopathology.

Jane is a Clinical Psychologist and works as a Research Associate at Imperial College London. She is currently working on the Healthy Start, Happy Start study in the Centre for Mental Health, Imperial College London.

Christine is a postdoctoral Trial Manager on the Healthy Start, Happy Start study. Her research interests include programme evaluation, research methods, infant mental health, and parental wellbeing.

Susannah is a
senior postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Oxford.  She completed a D.Phil. at the University of Oxford in 2007, funded by The Wellcome Trust, and an MSc in Neuroscience, also at Oxford University.

Lorraine is a postdoctoral researcher at Imperial College London. Her research at Imperial College has focused on the development of psychopathology in children and their parents following an acute episode of paediatric critical illness.
