Elena Netsi was accepted as one of the 100 young scientists to attend the ECNP Workshop in Nice, France this March. This year the workshop focused on depression. Elena presented her work, from the ALSPAC cohort, on the role of the serotonin transporter polymorphism (5-HTTLPR) and infant reactivity as moderators of the relationship between antenatal depression and infant sleep.
A new paper, examining the way in which depression can affect the way in which parents interact with their baby infants, has been published in the journal Psychological Medicine. See the publications page for details
