The Oxford Pregnancy Study - FeedbackBelow are some comments that previous participants have made about the study:
'I was glad to take part in the Oxford Pregnancy Study. The research is an intersting area and I am happy to feel I have contributed to the knowledge of the role of anxiety in pregnancy' - J., 'Having willing volunteers is essential to enabling good scientific research that furthers our understanding of pregnancy and its outcomes for mums and babies. Pregnancy can be an anxious time as pregnant women are constantly bombarded with advice and information, not all of it scientific or sensible – so it’s important to have evidence-based research like this that tries to understand the effects of pregnancy and how it can affect mums and their babies. I would happily give up my time again to the Oxford Pregnancy Study and will be very interested to see the results' - J., 'I was initially a bit nervous about taking part in the study but I actually really enjoyed it. Liz, the main researcher, is great fun and completely put me at ease. The tasks required couldn't be more simple - saliva samples and questionnaires are really all that was involved, so it was no trouble at all. I'm glad that I got involved, especially if it might help us understand the science a little better' - S., 'Really pleased that I was able to participate in the study; it's nice to be part of something that will potentially benefit the next generation. The process and questionnaires were very straightforward and I'm encouraging all the members of my prenatal groups to participate too' - K., |
