Beth Barker
Research Assistant

Beth completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology with Neuroscience at the University of Sussex in 2014 and her Master’s degree in Psychology and Education at the University of Sheffield in 2015.

Beth joined the Healthy Start, Happy Start team – led by Professor Paul Ramchandani and Dr Christine O’Farrelly – as a Research Assistant in February 2016. The study uses an early attachment-based intervention with parents of young children, focusing on child communication, play, child development and behaviour. Beth starter her PhD on the study in November 2017, which focuses on how early caregiver-infant interactions may influence child development in the future.
